January Happenings

We have done some fun activites this month. Sawyer had a birthday party at CHUCK E. CHEESE, Caroline turned 18 months (other pictures and post of follow later), we had dance parties in our living room and we went to Frozentoesen at the Toledo Zoo! At the zoo they had magic show, bounce house, and a shark feed. Caroline enjoyed looking at the polar bears while Sawyer loved to watch the sharks! Enjoy!

Sledding fun

We had our real firest snow fall where we have about 6 inches on the ground. We picked the kids up a little early from daycare and headed outside to play. The neighborhood boys were headed down the street and we followed them to a great sledding spot. Sawyer had a blast sledding down hill for the frist time! Phillip even joined the boys and sledded for the first time in about 10 years! Stay warm everyone!

Home for Christmas and more

This year marked the first year since we have been married that we woke up in our own home on Christmas morning. It was different but simple and relaxing. we made cut out cookies on Wednesday. For Christmas breakfast, we ordered doughnuts from a local shop and picked them up Christmas Eve. We had a great dinner on Christmas Eve and we read from the Gospel and sang Christmas songs. The kids woke up at 6 am and 6:30 am (Sawyer first), we opened gifts, then head to MI and were there by 11:30. We hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Lott and Jammie's folks until the sisters arrived with all the kids. The next day we head back to Toledo, so we could pack and repack. We left for NC at 5 am and arrive there around 2:30pm in time for the Petty Christmas. The next morning we had more gifts!!! What a Christmas. Caroline did not really care for opening gifts. She wanted candy, doughnuts and to hand gifts out to everyone! Sawyer of course was most impressed that Santa left him what he asked for and that Santa left ashes on the fireplace harth! Enjoy the pics and video!!!
