Giggling

We were playing together in the living room and discovered that Caroline really likes the game that Sawyer was playing that would launch some little balls in the air.

Crawling Caroline

About 1 1/2 weeks ago Caroline starting crawling. The last couple days she has mastered the 4-pt crawl and is even pulling up to stand. She is getting another tooth in on the bottom. She is working on her 3 top teeth. She went from zero teeth to working on 5 in a 10 days span. She is now holding her own bottle too. She had her first bitter biscuit..tried puffs and she gagged. She seems to be changing every day. Her 8th month has been a big one for her.....what will the 9th month bring?
Sawyer is getting more mature. His actions, his words...everything. He loves his little sister. He likes to play rough with her so we have to remind him to be gentle! He is having his first play date tomorrow. A little boy from school left a note in his cubby and wanted to have him over to play. Mommy and Sawyer are going to Mikey's house tomorrow morning to play for 1 -2 hrs. Our little boy is growing up....he will be in school before we know it! SLOW DOWN CHILDREN!

March to Michigan

This past weekend Jammie and the children headed to MI for a long weekend. While they were off playing, Phillip stayed back home to be the point man on the new carpet! We love it by the way! While in Williamston, Sawyer and Jammie went to a place called Castaway cafe--an indoor playground climbing world! Sawyer also visited Great Grandpa and Grandma at the farm. He sat on the tractors and the backhoe. He can't wait to head back in the warmer weather as Greate grandpa promised a tractor and backhoe ride! There was down time as well...just hang ot with Pa and Grandma. Great weekend for everyone...Phillip may not think so, but the carpet is great!

Go Heels!!!!!!!!!

In prep for the big UNC-Duke game on Sunday, we got decked out in our Carolina gear to watch the game. Big win for the Heels. Looking forward to the ACC and NCAA tournaments!

Laundry

On Saturday, I was folding some laundry while Caroline was playing on the floor. She became very interested in the laundry basket and I let her explore. Quickly, she was able to topple the basket over and began playing in the pile of clean clothes.

I'm glad to see she's learning on how to do chores.

Learning to crawl

Caroline is 7 months old and getting closer all the time to learning to crawl. We've been working with her and enjoying watching her learn to navigate. She's great at going from sitting to belly to hand and knees.


This weekend, she started to crawl/scoot backwards. Still hasn't quite figured out forwards yet.

GG and Papa visit

GG and Papa came up for a visit on Thursday, Feb 27 for a long weekend visit. A snow storm was going through the south and they decided to delay their return until Tuesday instead of the planned return on Monday. It was pretty low key visit until GG came down with a stomach flu Sunday night and all day Monday. They delayed their return until Wednesday morning with GG feeling queasy still and then Papa started getting symptoms. They had a rough trip home and spent the rest of the week recovering in NC. Papa has already said he's "never coming back to Ohio". Here's a least one pleasant reminder of an otherwise miserable visit for GG.
