St Patrick's Day

This year, St. Patrick's Day fell on the Saturday of the first weekend of the NCAA men's basketball tournament and UNC was playing Michigan State that night. So, we decided to combine the two events into one. We hosted an all day NCAA basketball watching party with a St. Patrick's Day theme. We had Irish beer on hand: Guinness, Smithwyck's, and Killian's (we don't mess around with the "green beer" thing). At dinner time, we served a traditional Irish Jigg's dinner consisting of corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes. Our family dressed in our shirts that we bought when we visited Dublin this fall, which is what we're wearing in this family pic.

Catching Up

We have been very busy in the last month. We have enjoyed a visit from the N.C. Gribbles (GG and Papa). Although the weather was a tad cold for their Southern blood, we found many activites to partake in to keep us busy. Sawyer enjoys helping in the kitchen and helped make cookies and bananna bread with GG. Sawyer also received another hair cut from GG and his mommy. Papa was the wing man-standing by and assiting when needed. Sawyer watched the wiggles and Papa danced for him while GG cut his hair. The visit came to end after 4 full days. We can't wait until Easter to see everyone in Rural Hall
