First Hair Cut and More

We have not had an entry in a while so we have lots to blog! Sawyer is a growing so fast. At his 1 year check he was 27 pounds 12 oz and was 32 inches long! He is off the charts for his height and weight. He enjoys playing outside (swinging, sliding, taking wagon rides). He is walking faster and with more balance with each passing day. He loves eating all the table foods and tries to spoon and fork feed himself. He is no longer drinking from a bottle! He brings us books to read to him and glows with excitement as he turns the pages. He recently has started to enjoy watching video tapes and is mesmerized with Barney. He will dance and clap to the songs on the screen.

Sawyer received his first hair during the last weeks of August. His GG (aka Grandma Martha Gribble) assisted with the cutting of the hair! To the right is the before picture. Note the length and the curls!

The North Carolina Grandparents spent some valuable time with Sawyer as we traveled to Dublin, Ireland. Phillip had a conference to present at (all about the ankle), so Jammie tagged along. We were gone 8 nights! We toured Dublin city center, traveled to castles north of the city, took a train along the coast south of Dublin and hiked for some beautiful views.

We even had time for a Guinness or 2...or three...well maybe four. The Guinness factory was a interesting place to visit as Phillip got his certificate of "Perfect Pint Pourer". Fish and chips was our main dinner! Yummy and oh so healthy!

While we were gone, Papa (aka Grandpa Bill Gribble) helped Sawyer work on his golf swing and learn all about choo-choo trains.

We're having some problems getting some of our pictures loaded on the blog, so stay tuned for more pictures!
